My blog’s traffic increased dramatically after submitting posts to Digg.com, before I only get 10 to 20 visitors per day, but after I added some of my posts to Digg.com my traffic went up to about hundred something visitors per day. Adbrite should not include Alexa ranking in their listing, since Alexa rankings are very inaccurate and very easy to be manipulated. I learned from various web sites that its rankings are for the uninformative only, if you google search “alexa ranking” you’ll find about the truth of Alexa ranking through various websites. Comparing Alexa ranking of the websites in the listing could be misleading and could misinform people about the website’s real traffic. I once tried autosurf and other Alexa boosting method and my website’s ranking rose from none to around 6,000,000 within less than one week, and Adbrite gave it about one and half star for the Alexa ranking in related to other listed sites, without that much real traffic. Also some websites are in the subdomain of others, this would cause the ranking of the domain on top of it shown instead of the subdomain’s. Alexa ranking can not be trusted, I don’t know why Adbrite included it to compare with other websites.

SoCal Free Net is a very good free dialup ISP , it’s free for anyone living in Southern California. Unlike NetZero or Juno, it doesn’t have time limit or requires you to install any kind to software in order to use it. It’s very useful for Backup Internet Connection when your dsl connection fails.
The drawback of this freebie is that the ISP blocks almost all ports except for those you use to view web pages, as what it said from its website Q&A: “This service is designed for web browsing only. You will not be able to set up a server on your own machine, nor will you be able to connect with telnet, ftp, ssh, SMTP, etc.” It basically only opens port 80, 8080, 443 for https and maybe others for you to visit websites, but it doesn’t monitor the traffics on the ports, despite what the website says, you’re still able to connect to ftp, telnet or other services that uses the http ports instead of their standard ports, also you can use Instant Messengers such as AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN Messenger over there since they only need the http ports. Overall it’s a very good ISP that gives you a worthwhile free dial up service.

Today I’m curious of what www.internetexplorersucks.com look like, I typed it and it redirected to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/. It’s like the website http://www.ie7.com/ where it tells the user to get Firefox, although they’re not affiliated with Firefox, they’re just created by fans who want people to use Firefox instead of IE.

If you have mod_security turned on in your server you will sometimes get a 404 not found error when you try to save or publish your post. To fix this add the lines
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
to your .htaccess file in your wordpress’s root directory to turn off mod_security’s keyword filtering feature for posting forms, and you should not get the error anymore when you try to post.

Here’s the program I created to trick people, it basically opens many windows without stopping unless you click the windows and press CTRL+ALT+A many times to stop and close the program. here’s the link to download it, and here is its source code. The program is virus free, you can test it yourself before sending it to trick other people.

Today I had problem loading my pages properly in Firefox but not Internet Explorer, I wondered why this happen as I never had this problem with my blog before. At first I thought there was a problem with the scripts, but it still won’t load completely even after disabling the scripts, then I tried to disable activex controls, and it loaded perfectly without the flash objects. Then I suspect the flash videos I have is causing those problems, I tried different flash objects and I found out that those with <object> tags won’t break the page, but those with <embed> actually do. I changed all my videos to

My former blog angelchen1111.blogspot.com doesn’t update in technorati at all, except for the links. The last date I updated it was Saturday, October 21, 2006. but in technorati it says it was updated 67 days ago, the exact day I created that blog in Blogger. I don’t know why, I only have problem with that blog, I don’t have problem with other blogs like this blog and the other blog from Blogger.
